Dana Lim A/S was founded in 1929 in Køge, Denmark, and is today Scandinavia's largest domestic adhesive manufacturer with its own R&D, development and production.
Our Danalim range covers moisture-curing D4 polyurethane adhesives for outdoor use and bonding in damp conditions, polychloroprene-based contact adhesives for laminates and heavy construction materials, 2-component epoxy cartridges with static mixing for fast, accurate bonds, and specialist products for flooring, assembly and sealing.
Danalim is a Nordic Swan Ecolabel-licensed manufacturer and actively develops solutions with lower VOC content and better workplace safety. Their D4 adhesives are CE-marked per EN 15425 and meet the requirements for load-bearing timber structures.
About Danalim
Polyurethane (PU) adhesives and PVA D4 adhesives both have their strengths. PU adhesives bond porous and non-porous materials — wood, metal, concrete, plastic — and cure by moisture, making them ideal for outdoor use. PVA D4, on the other hand, is easier to apply, sanding-friendly and best suited for clean wood joints where the joint is not exposed to moisture.

Frequently asked questions about Danalim
What is the difference between PU adhesive and PVA D4?
Both are D4-rated per EN 204, but PU adhesive is moisture-curing and also bonds metal, plastic and concrete — ideal for outdoor use. PVA D4 is water-based, easier to sand and clean, and best suited for clean wood joints indoors or in protected environments.
